Fairytales & Frogs
Time: 10 AM - 1PM
Children under 12

Learn about the importance of frogs to the environment & hear about the unique role they play in fairytales. Frogs are important to the environment because they are "indicator species," which means that they are often an indicator to humans when something is wrong. Frogs, like all amphibians, breathe through their skin. If we see a decrease in frog populations, it may indicate that there is something wrong, like pollutants in the water, etc.

Meet frog mascots, meet princesses, get close encounters with live frogs, meet the Zoo's frog keepers and separate frog fact from fiction and listen to a reading of "The Frog Prince."
