It's Time To Celebrate Streetsboro's 200th Birthday. Join us this weekend, Saturday, August 20th & Sunday, August 21st for the Streetsboro Bicentennial Birthday Bash! Indulge in a weekend full of fun for the entire family. There is something for everyone.
Come kick off the Bicentennial Celebration with the Bicentennial Parade on Saturday, August 20th at 10am along State Route 303 in Streetsboro. Experience one of Streetsboro’s biggest parade line ups ever, with over 60 participants, plus there will be tons of candy given out for the kids!! Please park at the Streetsboro Plaza and take your chairs to sit along State Route 303. The road will be closed for the parade.
The Bicentennial Birthday Bash will be held at Streetsboro City Park, 8970 Kirby Lane, Streetsboro. The Two-Day festival will include many attractions and events with Live Music, Food and Craft Vendors, a Beer Garden, Magic Shows, a Weekend Petting Zoo and Bounce Houses. There will also be Living History Reenactment Encampments on hand, along with Chainsaw Shari carving demonstrations, Jungle Terry animal shows and Joe Sylvester’s Monster Truck Rides with Bad Habit and Mayhem on site.
On Saturday, August 20th, live entertainment will kick off the weekend with High Octane Hits of “Ace Molar” at 3:45pm, followed by “The Crue” (Motley Crue Tribute) at 6pm, and headliner, “Nightrain” (Guns ‘n Roses Experience) at 8pm. The night will end with phenomenal Bicentennial Fireworks courtesy of Pyrotechnico at 10pm.
On Sunday, August 21st, the live entertainment continues with a mix of country- classic rock with Streetsboro’s own “Southern Cross” at 12pm, followed with NE Ohio premier country artists, “Rte 212” at 4pm. The entertainment continues with a special “Luke Bryan Experience” at 5:45pm and closes with headliner, “The Ultimate Aldean” (the Greatest Tribute to Jason Aldean) at 7:30pm.
The city Sesquicentennial Time Capsule, buried at public square during the 150th birthday in 1972, will be displayed all weekend at the Birthday Bash, with an “Opening Ceremony” taking place Sunday afternoon.
