Fabulous Fall Fun in Streetsboro

Fall is an amazing time of year to come and enjoy Streetsboro! There is an abundance of beautiful fall colors, wonderful activities, and special events taking place. It makes for the perfect getaway or vacation.

If you enjoy the outdoors, like I do then a visit to the picturesque parks is just what you need. Take a stroll through the woods and appreciate all of the amazing and robust colors. Did you know that there are 3 beautiful state parks in Portage County: West Branch State Park, Nelson Kennedy Ledges State Park, and Wingfoot Lake State Park. Each one offers something different for visitors to enjoy such as boating, hiking, disc golf, special activities, and much more. There is also an amazing county park system that I like to take advantage of visiting on a regular basis. The numerous county parks are so beautiful and provide visitors with unique and memorable experiences. It's so fun to go and take in the fresh air while walking, kayaking, biking, birding, or fishing.

Corn Mazes are fun for everyone, regardless of age. As you make your way through the maze and get lost and turned around a few times (I speak from experience) you'll have so much fun and make so many memories. There are several corn mazes in Portage County including Derthick's Corn Maze, Guyette's Corn Maze, and Dussell Farm.

Monroe's Orchard, Beckwith Orchards and Blue Jay Orchard have a variety of delicious apples available. Select locations offer the opportunity to pick your own apples or they have them in the store as well and don't forget to grab some apple cider, a true staple of fall.

There are also a variety of events taking place this fall including, the Ohio Mushroom Festival (Sept. 23 & 24), Main Street Kent Oktoberfest (Sept. 23), Little Texas Big Time 30th Anniversary Tour (Sept. 29 & 30), the Streetsboro Quilt Guild Show (Sept. 29 & 30), the Apple Harvest Festival (Sept. 30, Oct. 7 & 14), Aurora Fall Festival (Oct. 7), Kent Rainbow Weekend (Oct. 13 & 14), Kent Ghost Walk (Oct. 13 & 14), Portage Craft Beer Festival (Oct. 14), Dinks & Drinks (Oct. 14), Mantua Wine & Chocolate Walk (Oct. 14), Streetsboro Parks & Recreation Trunk or Treat (Oct. 19), Ohio Wizard of Oz Expo (Oct. 27, 28 & 29), and Streetsboro City Wide Trick or Treat (Oct. 28).

So get ready to come experience, explore, and enjoy all that Portage County has to offer this fall. Start planning your next visit to Streetsboro by visiting www.StreetsboroVCB.com.
