Spring into Spring


Spring is here and there are so many fun activities to do and enjoy before summer arrives. Explore Streetsboro, Portage County and the nearby communities while enjoying some of these wonderful activities.


  1. Explore the vast assortment of parks in the Portage Park District.

  2. Enjoy dining outside at one of the delectable Streetsboro restaurants that offer patio seating.

  3. Explore the area and have fun geocaching. It's a fun, free and exciting activity.

  4. Update the spring/summer wardrobe and do some shopping at Aurora Farms Premium Outlets.

  8. Enjoy a day of antiquing. Stroll through Streetsboro Antiques Mini Mall where you will find a vast assortment of unique vintage and antiques collectibles. Then check out the other antique stores in Portage County.

  9. Have some fun with an afternoon picnic at the Streetsboro City Park and an outdoor scavenger hunt.

  10. Time for fun with your furry friend. Load the dog up and head on over to Thomas Heritage Park. This park is great for large and small dogs.

  11. Visit a Streetsboro restaurant that you haven't tried before and enjoy a delicious dining experience. There are over 40 restaurants, and more are coming soon!

  12. Cast that reel and catch some fish. There are several great places to enjoy this fun and relaxing activity throughout Portage County including West Branch State Park and Trail Lake Park.

  13. Experience Kent State University Museum. This museum with 8 galleries contains important collections of fashion and decorative arts.

  14. Check out the local stores in Streetsboro. There is a great selection of unique stores. Support the small local businesses and have some fun shopping.

  15. Take a bike ride. Grab your bike and head on over to the Portage Hike & Bike Trail.

  16. Taking a walk, going fishing or kayaking at the newest park in Streetsboro and the Portage Park District, Trail Lake Park.

  17. Go on an excursion aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

  18. Explore the wonderful Portage Park District and the assortment of outdoor fun available.

  19. Have some fun searching for hidden painted rocks and don't forget to paint your own rocks. Find them and hide them. It's so much fun to see all the uniquely painted rocks.
